The dance of light and shadow through the brooks, rivers, mountains and valleys of the Old Dominion is a hallmark of the work of David W. Zuck. Whether beckoning us to ponder the translucence of a gently flowing creek or inviting us into a secluded meadow of the Blue Ridge,

David’s art provides us with a respite from our steel and concrete lifestyles.
David’s work has taken its place within major corporate collections, including Capital One Financial Group, E.R. Carpenter Co., Bank of America, Medical College of Virginia, Craigie Inc., Philip Morris, USA, Wheat First Union Securities, The Hotel Roanoke, Roanoke and Botetourt Telephone Co., The Richmond Retail Merchants Assn., and Media General.

For over three decades David has studied and painted the mountains, fields and waterways of the Commonwealth, stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since 1970 the Artist's residence has been a fifty acre family farm in Bethia, Virginia, where his mother was born. The Artist graduated, in 1967, from American University with a degree in fine art but has also studied for about 15 yeras under meta-realist Nancy Witt, Virginia's foremost painter of illusion.

The Artist is currently represented by Foxhall Gallery in Washington D.C., Yates House Gallery in Deltaville, Virginia, the Hanson Gallery in Knoxville, Tennessee, and the RAL Studio Gallery in Kilmarnock, Virginia.  His work is also on display at Liberty, Compass Quay in Urbanna.
