Lynne Crumpacker has always worked in some sort of creative media...from drawing and painting to fibers to clay to computer/graphic design and back to taking up the pencil and brush. For over 20 years she was a full-time studio potter in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The things she made were for daily use and to serve the needs of the community. They were sold in a few galleries in other states, but mainly in the "Edinburg Village Shop", a co-op that she and partners ran for 14 years in Edinburg, Virginia.

Lynne still focuses on everyday things. Old family treasures from Grandmother find their way into paintings along with vintage linens, food and flowers. Some paintings include a piece of pottery she made, or a cloth she wove. The excitement comes in discovering how to really see these things and put them on paper and canvas. Shapes, colors, how the sun comes in the window and paints patterns around these simple things that are part of everyday life.
