“The natural environment and solitude are two themes that I continue to explore in my work. I focus on what I term environmental landscapes–paintings that combine the reality of the natural environment with personal interpretation. I am interested in the real and perceived power of nature; the healing, rejuvenation and symbolism found through and in nature. The images are derived from a single or several journeys where I explore–primarily–the outside world. Earthforms and places discovered on these journeys are the primary inspiration for my work”.
